Part One
Privacy Policy
Effective September 7, 2026 ยท Applies to the Math Nova Android app (package com.neuralnodesolutions.mathnova)
1. Overview
Neural Node Solutions ("we," "us," or "our") publishes Math Nova, a math-practice arcade game for Android. This policy explains what information Math Nova handles, how it's used, and the choices available to you and your family. It's written for parents and guardians as well as players, since Math Nova is made for kids.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you type into the app
When you set a new high score, Math Nova asks for a name (up to 12 characters) to show on your personal leaderboard. That name, along with your score, is saved using Android's standard on-device storage (SharedPreferences) โ the same mechanism apps use to remember settings. It is never transmitted to us, to Google, or to any other player. Your leaderboard is private to your device; Math Nova has no shared or online leaderboard.
We recommend not entering a real full name, and parents may want to help younger players choose a nickname instead.
2.2 Information collected automatically for ads
Math Nova shows ads through Google AdMob to keep the game free. To deliver and measure those ads, Google's advertising software running inside the app may automatically process technical information such as:
- Device and app identifiers used for ad delivery and frequency capping
- General, approximate location inferred from IP address (not precise GPS location โ Math Nova never requests location permission)
- Ad interaction data, such as which ad was shown and whether it was viewed or tapped
This processing is performed by Google, governed by Google's own privacy practices โ see Section 4. Neural Node Solutions does not separately collect, store, or have access to this advertising data.
2.3 What we do not collect
Math Nova has no account creation, no login, and requests no permissions beyond internet access. We do not collect email addresses, precise location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone access, or any other personal information directly.
3. How Information Is Used
The leaderboard name and score you enter are used for exactly one purpose: displaying your own top-10 list back to you on that device. Advertising data handled by Google is used to select and measure ads shown in the app, subject to the child-directed request settings described in Section 4. We do not use any information to build profiles of individual players, and we do not sell information โ we don't have any of your personal information to sell.
4. Advertising & Third-Party Services
Math Nova's only advertising partner is Google AdMob. Every ad request Math Nova sends is explicitly flagged for child-directed treatment and capped at a "G" maximum content rating. In practice, this means:
- Ads are not personalized based on a player's browsing or app activity
- Ad content is restricted to Google's general-audience rating
- Google limits the data it collects and uses accordingly, per its Families Ad Program policies
You can read more about how Google's advertising products handle information here:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from sites and apps that use our services
- AdMob and the Families Ad Program
Math Nova does not currently use any advertising mediation networks beyond Google AdMob directly.
5. Children's Privacy
Math Nova is made for kids. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from any player, including children under 13, and the app's design intentionally avoids doing so: no account, no email, no location permission, and a leaderboard that never leaves the device.
The only third-party data handling in the app is Google's ad-serving process described in Section 4, which is configured for child-directed treatment on every ad request. If you're a parent or guardian and have questions about this, or believe information about your child has been handled in a way that concerns you, contact us using the details in Section 10 and we'll look into it promptly.
6. How Information Is Stored
Leaderboard data lives only in the app's private storage on your device. If your device has Android's automatic backup enabled, this data may be included in your own personal Google Account backup, the same way any app's settings are โ Neural Node Solutions has no access to that backup. We operate no server or database that stores player information; there is nothing on our end to store.
7. Your Choices
- Clear your leaderboard: clear Math Nova's app data or storage from Android Settings, or uninstall the app, to permanently remove everything saved locally.
- Limit ad data: your device's Android settings include an "Opt out of Ads Personalization" control (Settings โ Privacy โ Ads on most devices) that applies across apps, including Math Nova.
- Ask us a question: contact Section 10 at any time โ we don't have an account system, but we're glad to help.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Since Math Nova has no accounts or email collection, we won't be able to notify you directly โ we encourage checking back here occasionally, especially before a major app update.
